Congrats! You found my blog! Of course, I am congratulating myself, because it makes me so happy when people actually visit and read the stuff I write! Thank you for taking the time to stop by!
As you likely know by now, my name is Shelby. When I started attending college, I had no idea that after graduating with a degree in professional writing in 2013, I would be working in a restaurant and not doing anything that I ever wanted to do--which really all came down to writing and my love of the written word. After moving back into my parents' house, I decided that even if I couldn't make a living by writing, I could still do it to keep my skills sharp and to develop some new ones as well!
This blog is the result of that decision, and I'm going to do my best to share with you my words and my thoughts! I'm a geek, an avid reader, and a snail mail enthusiast, and I'm sure you will all see these parts of my identity at one point or another! At present, I know that my content isn't the most cohesive, but I am trying to develop a plan and an editorial calendar so everything will make some sense and look shiny!
What you can expect thus far includes: book reviews, lists, discussion of pen palling, enthusiasm for postage costs and things related to the postal service, unabashed promotion of the International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club, and the odd personal essay
